Organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the Premio Venezia Awards honour the excellence in collaborations between Quebec and Italy.
Companies or organizations may submit their candidacy for consideration in the industrial, commercial, scientific or other forms of collaboration with their Italian partner.
The PREMIO VENEZIA Awards recognize:
- organizations that have profitably applied Italian technology or know-how to become more competitive, or for organizations which have successfully exported their technology or know-how to Italy
- organizations that are contributing to the notoriety of Quebec products on the Italian market, or organizations that are contributing to the notoriety of Italian products on the Quebec market
- institutions from Quebec, economic development organizations, cultural and artistic organizations that have distinguished themselves by achieving collaboration projects with Italian partners (trade missions, expertise exchange, museum and art collection exchanges, artistic group exchanges, etc.)
- Quebec universities, laboratories, or research centers that have distinguished themselves by carrying out technological development or research projects with Italian partners, or taken part in exchanges of scientific personnel, trainees or professors.
- organizations that have distinguished themselves by carrying out projects of collaboration with Italian partners aimed at sustainable development, environmental protection, and the reduction of the ecological footprint.
The candidacy period begins May 12th, 2010.
The candidacy period ends September 17th, 2010.
The award ceremony will take place on November 3rd, 2010 at 6 pm, in Montreal.
