Training and cultural exchanges

Universities

A place to learn, impart knowledge, reflect and carry out research activities, universities play a more important part than ever before in economic development. The ICCC has established ties with several universities both in Quebec and in Italy with the aim to facilitate promotion and knowledge sharing.

ICCC trade and economic missions often visit universities, where they organize conferences and meetings to encourage interaction between industries, economic development agencies and learning establishments.

ICCC lends support to teacher, research and student exchange projects between Italy and Quebec universities.

In Quebec, the Chamber maintains very close ties with HEC Montréal, McGill University, Université de Montréal and Concordia University, and in Italy with la Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Luiss Guido Carli in Rome, l’Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, the Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice, l’Universidà Degli Studi Di Napoli Federico II and la Scuola Scienze Aziendali in Florence. Aware of the importance of academia for economic growth, the Chamber plans to strengthen relations with universities over the coming years.

Cultural Exchanges

The ICCC organizes visits by world-renowned personalities in their respective fields. These include famous Italian chefs who come to share their experiences and know-how as part of the training sessions and conferences.

Internships

Another of the ICCC’s initiatives includes hosting interns from Italy at the Montreal office. Invariably, these interns are either MBA students or hold a Bachelor’s degree in Administration. They are assimilated into the Quebec culture and learn about professional and economic life in Quebec.

Any questions regarding internships should be addressed to stages@italchamber.qc.ca.
