« No words can describe the amazing experience I had taking part to the Benevento-Montreal study-tour. I walked in the same streets my ancestors walked on.I visited historical monuments and I had the opportunity to study my province of origin's socioeconomic system. My journey began many months before stepping onto the Italian soil.

The classes offered by the Italian chamber of commerce of Canada helped me to prepare for my new adventure. As a political and communications student, this program allowed me to put into practice everything I have learnt while gaining experience. Being of hybrid culture, it is not always easy to find other young enthusiastic people who share the same vision as you do.

The study-tour allowed me to gain work experience, meet new people and help developed commercial ties between the two places I call home ».

   - Which is the next step that you and your mates will put for the success of the program?

« Next task will be bringing into contact with the potential importers of the agribusiness and selecting five of them to suggest to the firms of the Sannio, object of our projects work.

Valuing the best importer, we will proceed to the analysis of the distribution.

I think that Montreal, boasting one of the greatest Italian communities in Canada, can represent a market of great success for the firms of the beneventano. Not only the Italians that live here are still very tied to their traditions, but also the other Canadians are beeing sensitive to the culinary cultures with which they came into contact during their trips to Europe. At their return they always look for more to share such experiences in family ».
